Car parking at Tesco Extra, which has an entrance in Bell Street is the best place. Please allow plenty of time to get from Car Park to Leisure Centre. Any late arrivals will be tricky to fit in.

Health and Safety:

• • Please ALWAYS warm-up before you play, NEVER walk straight on court to play, this is for your own health and safety. You can find ideas and videos for warming-up via this web page: https://www.worcestershirepickleball.com/training/pickleball-warmup-routine. Always do some dinking to warm-up and practice this tricky shot. 

  • When balls travel onto another court from the court you are playing on, please AVOID running after the ball, ALWAYS stay on your own court and shout to the other court “Ball on court”. They will pick up  the ball, ask who is serving and hit the ball towards them. If a ball travels onto your court, please STOP playing, return the ball in the same manner. NEVER kick the ball or hit it so it travels over the floor towards anyone, ALWAYS pick up the ball and hit it gently towards the person that needs it.

  • Remember if the balls is, “low let it go”, if it’s “high let it fly”.

If you have never played Pickelball before, you will have to attend a Pickleball Coach and Play session. If there are any coach and play sessions planned you will find it shown on the booking calendar below. You are free to book these if space is available and pay online. Equipment and court hire is included. The cost is £15 for 90 minutes or part thereof.

Once you have attended a coach and play session, you will be able to join the regular weekly u3a sessions or feel free to book a court with friends and play as you wish at the Leisure Centre.

For attending u3a sessions there will be a seperate booking system, called PicklePlay, that I will have to add you too. You can find all details and instructions relating to this booking system on this WEB PAGE.

Please note this is a non-refundable and non-transferable session, therefore if you need to cancel there won't be the option to provide a refund or move your payment to another date. In the event of instructor non-attendance a full refund is applicable.
